Our standard

We have a zero-stain policy. In practice, that usually means a mattress that has always been used with a protector and is under 10 years old. There’s no fixed age limit: a mattress from a guest room can be older and still have plenty of life left.

We only take high-end, brand-name mattresses, because the resale market for lower-end used mattresses is too thin. Brands we often see include Hästens, Tempur-Pedic, Duxiana, Aireloom, Magniflex, Kluft & Company, Glencraft, Restwell and Milano Bedding.

We also take adjustable bases. We don’t take box springs or mattress toppers.

How we inspect and sanitize

Every mattress is inspected visually as soon as it arrives. Any stain or sign of a problem means it’s rejected straight away. Mattresses that pass are vacuumed and sanitized with an upholstery-safe spray before they go on sale.

Please check yours carefully before booking pickup. A mattress that doesn’t meet the standard on inspection is recycled at your expense.

Who buys them

Our mattress buyers value good used things, want to be environmentally mindful, and want a great mattress at a great price. A premium mattress that passes our standard gives them all three.

How it works

1. Send photos of both sides and the brand label through our quote form, and we’ll reply with a price range.
2. Movers pick it up, usually with about 5 business days’ notice. We pay the pickup cost upfront and deduct it from your payout.
3. We inspect, vacuum, sanitize and photograph it, then give it a condition score.
4. We price it from its brand, age, original retail price, condition and the current market. Most pieces sell for 30–80% off retail.
5. You track it in your consignor portal and get paid on the next 15th or 30th after it sells.

On consignment, mattresses pay 30% of the net sale.

Frequently asked questions

Is a small stain OK? No. We don’t accept any stains on mattresses we resell.

Does the warranty transfer to the buyer? In our experience, no. We haven’t yet found a manufacturer that transfers a mattress warranty to a second owner.

How old is too old? There’s no firm limit. Most mattresses we accept are under 10 years old, but a lightly used guest-room mattress can be older.

What if it doesn’t sell? After 5 months, you can pick it up, we can donate it at no cost to you, or we can keep it for sale at an adjusted price.
