Sell Your Designer Lighting in Victoria

Lighting is hard to sell online: buyers want to see it switched on. In our showroom, they can. We take care of about 95% of the hassle of selling it and pay you most of, or more than, what you’d get selling it yourself.

What we take

Every type of lighting: floor lamps, table lamps, pendants, chandeliers and wall lights, from reputable brands and designers. Well-known brands and designs sell fastest. Brands we often see include Artemide, Flos, Louis Poulsen, Foscarini, Bocci, Vibia, Tom Dixon, Luceplan, Marset, Santa & Cole, Secto Design, Anglepoise, Ingo Maurer, Lindsey Adelman, Apparatus, Roll & Hill, Michael Anastassiades, Serge Mouille, Hubbardton Forge, Visual Comfort, &Tradition, Gubi and Herman Miller.

These are examples, not a complete list. See every brand we accept, or just send us photos.

Hardwired fixtures need an electrician first

Pendants, chandeliers and wall lights wired into your home must be uninstalled by your own qualified electrician before pickup. Once they’re down, our movers take care of the rest.

What we check

Every powered piece is screened visually when it arrives. If we see any electrical concern, we decline the piece rather than repair it.

Missing bulbs and common parts like mounting brackets aren’t a problem; we can solve those. A missing or damaged shade, though, is generally a deal-breaker.

Every designer light is checked for authenticity before listing. We do take replicas, but they’re always clearly listed as a replica or “in the style of”, never sold as an authentic piece.

Shown the way it should be

Floor and table lamps are displayed on our showroom floor. Pendants and chandeliers are mounted on our ceiling and plugged into our track lighting system, so buyers see them lit.

How it works

  1. Send photos through our quote form, including one with the light switched on, and we’ll reply with a price range.
  2. Movers pick it up, usually with about 5 business days’ notice. Hardwired pieces need to be taken down by your electrician first. We pay the pickup cost upfront and deduct it from your payout.
  3. We screen it, clean it, photograph it and give it a multi-point condition score.
  4. We price it from its brand, age, original retail price, condition and the current market. Most pieces sell for 30–80% off retail.
  5. You track it in your consignor portal and get paid on the next 15th or 30th after it sells.

On consignment you receive 50% of the net sale for pieces over $500, and 40% under $500. Over 90% of our pieces sell within 3 months.
