What we take

Coffee tables, side tables and nesting tables from reputable brands, in contemporary or transitional styles, generally under 20 years old. Brands we often see include Herman Miller, Knoll, Vitra, Fritz Hansen, Gubi, Cattelan Italia, Calligaris, Glas Italia, Bensen, Blu Dot, BDI, Ethnicraft, De La Espada, Minotti, B&B Italia, Kartell, Muuto, &Tradition, Audo Copenhagen, Palecek, Decor-Rest, Article, EQ3 and Restoration Hardware.

These are examples, not a complete list. We accept mid-range to high-end contemporary pieces from hundreds of makers. See every brand we accept, or just send us photos.

We don’t take unbranded pieces, budget brands like IKEA, The Brick or Leon’s, or traditional styles.

What sells fastest

The material matters less than you might think. Wood, glass, marble and metal all sell. What moves quickly are contemporary tables that do more than one job, like lift-top tables and tables with storage, and iconic designs such as the Herman Miller Noguchi coffee table.

Nesting tables and pairs of side tables are offered both together and separately, which gives them the best chance of selling.

What we check and fix

Damage on the sides of a table can often be improved a lot with touch-ups. Damage on the top can usually only be improved slightly without refinishing the whole surface. For that reason, we don’t take tables that need significant refinishing, unless they’re iconic brand-name pieces.

Glass and stone tops are moved by the professional movers we work with. They’re separate businesses that work closely with us, and they’re responsible for moving each piece safely.

How it works

  1. Send photos through our quote form, including a close-up of the top, and we’ll reply with a price range.
  2. Movers pick it up, usually with about 5 business days’ notice. We pay the pickup cost upfront and deduct it from your payout.
  3. We inspect, clean, touch up and photograph it, then give it a multi-point condition score.
  4. We price it from its brand, age, original retail price, condition and the current market. Most pieces sell for 30–80% off retail.
  5. You track it in your consignor portal and get paid on the next 15th or 30th after it sells.

On consignment, coffee tables pay 30% of the net sale. Side tables pay 50% of the net sale over $500 and 40% under $500.

Frequently asked questions

Why do coffee tables pay a lower split? Tables sell more slowly and earn less per square foot of showroom than other pieces, so we keep a higher percentage of the sale to cover that.

Can you fix scratches on the top? Usually only slightly, without refinishing the whole top. Damage on the sides is much easier to improve.

Do I have to sell my side tables as a pair? No. We list them together and separately.

What if it doesn’t sell? After 5 months, you can pick it up, we can donate it at no cost to you, or we can keep it for sale at an adjusted price.
