Who We Help
Your home has sold and you need to clear the furniture
This is the situation we help with most. Whether it's your primary residence or a secondary property, selling or donating furniture yourself while managing a move is a lot to take on. We coordinate directly with your timeline — scheduling professional movers to pick up your furniture on or the day before your move-out date, so you're never left in an empty home before you need to be.
For those selling a secondary residence from out of town, we're often the only realistic option to get paid for quality furniture rather than simply leaving it or donating it. Your consignor portal lets you track your items and payouts from anywhere, and payment is sent via e-transfer — no need to be in Victoria to receive it.
You're redecorating and upgrading your furniture
If you're buying new furniture from one of Victoria's furniture retailers, we can coordinate directly with their delivery company to pick up your old pieces at the same time your new furniture is delivered — at no extra logistical effort on your part. We have existing relationships with the delivery companies used by Q Living, Moe's Home Victoria, Chester Fields, Sager's Home Store, Gabriel Ross, and Luxe Interiors. Simply let your sales rep know that Recertified Furniture will be receiving your old pieces, and we handle the rest.
How It Works
Step 1: Submit the intake form
Fill out our online form with photos and details of your pieces. If you have more than 10 items, simply check the box requesting a callback — no need to fill out a form for every piece.
Step 2: Receive your quote
Within 3–5 business days, we'll let you know if we can take in your furniture. If approved, we'll call you with an estimated payout range and your pickup fee. We'll also present a cash purchase offer if you'd prefer immediate payment at pickup.
Step 3: We pick up your furniture
Once you're ready to go, professional movers can typically be at your door within 2–4 business days. From form submission to pickup, the full process generally takes 5–9 business days. For collections of more than 10 items, we recommend starting at least 14 business days before your move-out date.
Step 4: We sell it. You get paid.
We clean, repair if needed, and list your pieces at a market-accurate price in our showroom. Once sold, you're paid via e-transfer on the 15th or 30th of the month. Our average sell time is around 3 weeks.
The Cash Purchase Option
Prefer not to wait? We also purchase quality furniture outright. If you'd rather receive payment immediately at pickup — without waiting for items to sell — we can make you a cash offer. This is particularly popular with sellers who are relocating out of the region and want certainty of payment before they leave. Cash offers are typically 30–40% below estimated consignment payout, but come with the advantage of immediate, guaranteed payment via e-transfer at the time of pickup.
What We Pay
Your consignment payout is calculated as a percentage of the net sale amount — the sale price, excluding taxes, minus any applicable credit card processing fee. Pickup, cleaning, and repair fees, if applicable, are also deducted from your payout. There are no upfront costs, and if your item does not sell you will never be billed for negative consignment account balances.

Payouts are sent via e-transfer on the 15th and 30th of each month, in the first payment period after your item sells.
What We Accept
We accept mid-range to high-end contemporary and transitional style furniture from quality brands — Article, Rove Concepts, Restoration Hardware, Knoll, B&B Italia, Roche Bobois, de Sede, Room & Board, and similar. We do not currently accept traditional style furniture, or pieces from brands like IKEA, The Brick, or Leon's.
In terms of age and condition, we accept pieces under approximately 25 years old, in fair to like-new condition. We can work with pieces that need minor cleaning, stain removal, pet hair removal, small leather repairs, or minor stitching — our in-house team handles all of this. We do not accept pieces requiring full re-upholstery or significant structural repair.

Your Consignor Portal
Once your pickup is scheduled, you'll receive a consignment contract with a link to register for your personal consignor portal. Through the portal, you can view which items are listed and at what price, track which have sold and for how much, and see your pending payouts — from anywhere, at any time. You're also welcome to visit our showroom at any point during business hours.

Recertified Furniture was founded in Victoria, BC by Elwyn, a Vancouver Island–born entrepreneur who started buying, cleaning, and reselling used furniture while studying at the University of Victoria. What began as a way to make supplemental income while in school grew into Victoria's only full-service furniture consignment business — built around the idea that quality furniture deserves a second life, and that sellers deserve a better option than donating or doing it themselves.
Our showroom is located at 475 Gorge Road East, Lower Level, Victoria, BC, and is open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm. We serve sellers throughout Greater Victoria, including Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, Langford, Colwood, View Royal, North Saanich, Metchosin, Highlands, and the surrounding area.
